Mick Humphreys
Mick is best known as the developer of the award-winning Vintage Club and Tom Fazio golf courses in Indian Wells, California. With 36 holes of golf, The Vintage Club was ranked among “America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses” by Golf Digest magazine, and is widely regarded as one of the most exclusive properties in the nation.
Mick founded his development firm, Vintage Properties, in 1973 and worked in the San Francisco Bay area for 25 years before moving back to his home state of Oregon. A graduate of the University of Oregon, Mick served on the University’s Foundation board of trustees for several years, eventually taking on the role of president. He enjoys volunteering his time with his church and as a Knight of Malta. Mick is from an Oregon pioneer family and has a lifelong interest in golf, dog training and fly-fishing.
Jim Gardner
Jim is well known for developing the historic Vandevert Ranch in Central Oregon. A 400 acre preservation ranch overlooking the Little Deschutes River, Vandevert has been nationally recognized in Architectural Digest magazine. Jim is an honors graduate of Harvard College and Yale Law School, and served as a lecturer at Harvard College and a visiting scholar at Harvard Law School. He began his career with the Ford Foundation, which took him to the Caribbean and Brazil. Following that, Jim served as president of Lewis and Clark College from 1981 to 1989 and later founded his development firm Gardner Associates. Jim is a life trustee of Lewis and Clark College and the High Desert Museum; board chairman of the Tax Free Trust of Oregon; and a member of the Council of Foreign Relations and the Pacific Council. He is a writer on law, foreign policy, and American West history. Jim enjoys fly fishing and photography.
